WATCH: Top Democrat Senator Caught Funneling Millions to His Wife Slammed as “Most Corrupt Member of Congress”

Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, a Rhode Island Democrat, got obliterated on a popular conservative podcast for his absurd level of corruption. While allegations have swirled around the Democratic senator for months, this video has to be one of the funniest takes on the situation. In the clip, which was posted to X on January 16, 2025, the hosts of the Ruthless podcast joked about Whitehouse and slammed him as the most morally bankrupt member of Congress.

For context, Senator Whitehouse has been in hot water for months over allegations that he used his influence to fund a Climate NGO that employed his wife. The Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust (FACT) filed an ethics complaint that featured proof of his wrongdoing and exposed how much money he had diverted to his family.

The clip began with the host taking down the ultra-corrupt Democrat in short order by exposing him for selling off elected offices. He began, “Sheldon Whitehouse, who is quite possibly, and this is again a tough title, the most corrupt member of Congress. It’s a known fact that he sold a judgeship to his donor Jack Reed in Rhode Island.”

The segment continued by pivoting to the corruption tied to his wife, who was employed at a leftist slush fund. He added, “It’s a known fact that his wife works for one of these left-wing dark money climate groups that directly tried to lobby environmental issues that he puts into bills. That’s cash and carry government right there. And for to try to talk about like justice, he should be in jail.”

According to the government watchdog FACT, which was instrumental in breaking this story, Sandra Whitehouse, the Senator’s wife, received millions in government grants. Their complaint reads, “Sen. Whitehouse appears to have violated the Senate Ethics Rules on conflicts of interest by advocating and voting for legislation that resulted in nearly $7 million being paid in the fall of 2024 to an organization his wife works for.”

The same document explored the repeat pattern of favorable treatment she received based on her husband’s position. The complaint continues, “Sandra Whitehouse has worked for the advocacy group Ocean Conservancy since 2008. Since then, Ocean Conservancy has been awarded nineteen government grants worth approximately $14.2 million… Senator Whitehouse directly supported and voted for the legislation that led to these grants.
